What happens during a session of pediatric occupational therapy?
If your child has difficulty with daily activities such as hygiene, feeding, dressing, writing, or interacting/playing in social settings, occupational therapy may be a good option.
Occupational therapy plans at Maximum Rehabilitation Services include the following:
- An individual assessment determines their conditions, areas of difficulty, physical abilities, and desired goals.
- Customized activities aimed at improving daily tasks and activities.
- A re-evaluation determines whether or not goals were met and, if necessary, makes changes to the plan/creates a new treatment plan of action.
Occupational and physical therapy are frequently complementary therapies that can be used as part of a comprehensive treatment plan to help patients improve their mobility, strength, coordination, and independence in daily activities.
